My Goals
It is my sophomore year in high school and it feels like it is going to be a great one. My goals are rather simple.
Academically, my goals are pretty straightforward. I want to pass all of my classes with a "B" or higher, maybe learn a few new things, read some great stuff, and get the high school experience. I try to participate in school activities as much as possible, and I am a member of the collection of musical people known as the band. I hope to improve even more in my music, maybe play a few more instruments, and just have fun making music with my friends. That’s pretty much it for academics. I'm the most basic you could get in that category.
As for life, my path is not yet set. I have the intent to go to college and get a Master's degree in something; heck if I know what that will be, but a degree in something. I hope to find a good paying job that I will enjoy. Maybe do some good in other people’s lives, you know, make a difference in this world and do it all with a smile. But that is all in the future. At this moment, I want to live in the now and enjoy high school.
This year, I wish to get the most out of high school. I participate in band, I am at all the football games (go Soons!) and am ready to excel both academically and musically. Believe me that is one hard task, but I will persevere and hope for the best this year of high school.
Hey so here's some advice coming from me. You always want to push for the HIGHEST possible. I respect your goals for all B's but trust me if you push for the best, you can achieve grades higher than you think that you can do. That doesn't mean stress out on homework, but maybe changing your study etiquette and making sure you're spot on with your academics. You're going to have a great year this year especially out there in the band, I've seen your efforts :)
ReplyDeleteHey Brandon, I completely agree and love your goals! I too would like much of the same things as you, musically and academically. Everything you expect is great but you should really give yourself goals that are a bit more challenging. In the aspect of grades I really think you can get A's rather than B's because as I have observed in class, you are a very bright kid:) Music wise, I know as a fact that you will accomplish anything you put your mind to because even though I am not in band this year, I had the chance to see you around last year and I noticed that you are very dedicated to what you love and you don't rest until you get the music right. I really hope you have a chance to meet and go far beyond your goals for this year and in life!
