My Goals

I believe it is important to set realistic goals in life because this will remind yourself of limits and the capabilities of yourself as an individual. Setting time-sensitive goals also pushes you to strive for greatness during our adolescent years, when we are still learning about the world around us and help gain experiences when reaching for goals.
There are many goals which I intend to complete/strive for this year. As a reader I would like to be able to comprehend many types of author writing styles and find themes I wouldn't be able to find when reading books. As a writer I was always stressed under timed writing so I'd like to improve that, I want also want to create more meaning in my reasons and phrases. One other thing about writing is my penmanship, I try to write neat on important papers but a lot of people think my handwriting is horrific😂. As a thinker I would like to be able to comprehend difficult articles, books, and be able to answer questions that Ms. Colln will throw at me. Goals outside the class are: Getting more healthy, enjoy my life honestly, fun with friends, volunteer, make videos.
Goals involving my future and career, I'd like to become a veterinarian maybe? I just like anything with animals. I am planning to attend CSULB but that might change, ambitions tend to change. In the future I would like to be able to help others, my family, and myself with overcoming obstacles that appear in life, as well as make others feel better. I have these goals because they remind me of why I'm apart of a society and what I can do to help the world function, because everyone's life in this world is precious. Everyone has different goals because we have different interests but some things we all have in common are, ambition, meaningful lives, and Ms. Colln's Middle English dialect. Wait not the last one. Thanks for reading.

  1. I find it slightly ironic that in the line when you mention improving your reason and phrasing that you phrased it weirdly, “I want also want” when it should be “I want” or “I also want”. When I was in about the 4th or 5th grade I got a lot of help with phrasing and being able to convey my ideas. One of the biggest tips I got was to read my work out loud to myself or have someone else read it to me because sometimes you’re able to detect things better when you hear it. If your able to do your writing a couple of days ahead you should also try doing that and then rereading it because then you’ll be in a different mind set so something that made sense in the moment will stand out better to a fresh mind. Almost like if you read a story you wrote from some years ago and you wonder how you could have ever come up with that idea.
